On July 2nd, 2018, University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS – VNU) held the opening ceremony of Summer Camp program 2018 for foreign students from Central China Normal University at ULIS Sunwah hall.

The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Quang Dong –ULIS’s Vice President, Ms. Do ThiThuy Lien – Representative of GES Vietnam, Dr. Do Minh Hoang – Director of Development and Cooperation Office, Dr. Hoa Ngoc Son – Director of Faculty of Language Education and Professional Development, voluntary students and especially staff in charge and 33 students from Central China Normal University.

Addressing at the ceremony, Vice President Dong extended his congratulations to foreign students for coming to ULIS to join the program. In a week at ULIS, he hoped that the students would experience as much as they could to have meaningful memories.


On behalf of GES Vietnam – the coordinator of this program, Ms. Lien also gave the best wishes to Chinese students. She would like to extended her thanks to the Board of Directors of ULIS for facilitating the program.

With the topic “Summer 2018 Vietnam Research and Exchange Mission”, the Summer Camp for foreign students lasted from the 1st to the 8th of July, 2018. With the participation of 18 volunteers, foreign students had the opportunities to experience and learn more about Vietnam through the following activities: field trip at Tan Khoa Industrial Equipment Co., Ltd, visiting Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, Confucius Institute at Hanoi University, Bat Trang Pottery Village and listening to lectures on Vietnamese economy and culture, etc.
