On December 15, 2020, ULIS – VNU held a meeting with Mr. Ngo Toan Thang, newly appointed Ambassador of Vietnam to Kuwait State under the theme “45 years of diplomatic relation between Vietnam – Kuwait and the future for the young generation “.

This is one of the activities aimed at celebrating the International Arabic Day (December 18^th) and the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between Vietnam and Kuwait next year (1976-2021).

At the meeting, the students raised questions about the relationship between Vietnam – Kuwait in particular and between Vietnam and the countries in Middle East in general; expressed concern about the prospect of further studying abroad, student exchange with Kuwait in the future and the measures that the Vietnam Embassy in Kuwait is taking to facilitate students to study in Kuwait; and opportunities and job prospects for Arabic students after graduation.

Ambassador Ngo Toan Thang encouraged the students to take advantage of this great opportunity to enhance their knowledge of Arabic language and culture, thereby promoting Vietnamese relations with Kuwait as well as the countries in Middle East in many fields, such as tourism, investment, trade, etc.
