Organizing short courses, exchanging students, and organizing internship programs were amongst the topics discussed at the meeting.

On November 5^th, 2018, ULIS-VNU had a meeting with Mr. Onda Takayuki – Director of Global Education Service (GES) and Ms. Do Thi Bich Lien – Chief Representative of GES Vietnam.

Attending the meeting were Vice President Ngo Minh Thuy, Dean of the Faculty of Language Education & Professional Development Hoa Ngoc Son, Deputy Head of Politics and Student Affairs Office Nguyen Huyen Trang.

At the meeting, representatives from the two sides discussed the opportunities for cooperation in organizing short courses, exchanging students, and organizing internship programs.

Vice President Ngo Minh Thuy thanked GES for many cooperative activities, supporting the University in recent years. On the basis of the formal agreement signed earlier, she hoped that the two sides would be able to promote and expand more new cooperation programs on a larger scale.

Mr. Onda Takayuki is especially interested in Vietnamese language and culture courses that the school is implementing. He expressed his love for Vietnamese culture and wishes to introduce Vietnamese culture to young Japanese people.

He added: “he would actively work with GES partners in Japanese universities to launch more collaborative programs in the coming year.”

Having directly participated in the training courses in Vietnamese language and culture for Japanese students coordinated by ULIS and GES Vietnam, Ms. Do Thi Bich Lien highly appreciated the organization work, the diversity of these programs.
