Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Cultural Experience Program for National Chengchi University Students

On July 10, 2026, the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS), Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), held the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Cultural Experience Program for students from National Chengchi University (Taiwan, China). The event, held for the fifth time, took place in a warm and memorable atmosphere, marking the successful completion of the academic and cultural journey of 15 National Chengchi University students who participated in this year's summer program.

Attending the ceremony on behalf of ULIS, VNU were Vice Rector Hoa Ngọc Sơn; representatives of the University's academic and administrative units; and leaders, lecturers, and students from the Faculty of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Language and Culture. Representing National Chengchi University were Ms. Lê Thị Nhâm, Dean of the Department of Southeast Asian Languages and Cultures, together with the 15 participating students.

In his remarks, Dr. Hoa Ngọc Sơn, Vice Rector of ULIS, emphasized the University's commitment to promoting international cooperation and educational exchange. He noted that the program not only helped international students improve their Vietnamese language proficiency but also provided valuable opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture, traditions, and people through immersive experiences.

Representing the Faculty of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Language and Culture, Dean Trần Hữu Trí congratulated the students on successfully completing the program. He acknowledged their dedication, enthusiasm for learning, and adaptability throughout their stay and study in Vietnam.

Speaking on behalf of National Chengchi University, Ms. Lê Thị Nhâm shared the positive outcomes achieved by the students during the program. She also expressed her sincere appreciation to ULIS for its warm hospitality, well-structured curriculum, and meaningful cultural activities that enriched the students' learning experience.

During the sharing session, a student representative from National Chengchi University spoke about the memorable experiences gained throughout the program. Reflections on Vietnamese language classes, cultural excursions, and the kindness of lecturers, student volunteers, and Vietnamese friends deeply touched the audience and highlighted the meaningful connections formed during the program.

At the ceremony, representatives of the University and the Faculty of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Language and Culture presented certificates of completion and commemorative gifts to all 15 participating students in recognition of their successful completion of the course.

Following the closing ceremony, participants joined a Vietnamese culinary experience and the "Skillful Hands" cooking competition. Students from National Chengchi University worked alongside ULIS lecturers and students to prepare traditional Vietnamese dishes. The activity not only fostered teamwork and cross-cultural interaction but also offered international students a deeper appreciation of the richness and diversity of Vietnamese culinary heritage.

The 2026 Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Cultural Experience Program concluded on a heartfelt note, bringing to an end a meaningful summer filled with learning, friendship, and unforgettable memories. The knowledge, cultural experiences, and lasting relationships built throughout the program will continue to strengthen educational cooperation and cultural exchange between the University of Languages and International Studies, VNU and National Chengchi University in the years ahead.
