University of Languages and International Studies welcomed and met the representatives of Japan Ryokan Hotel Association, Japan
On September 17th, 2018, the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS – VNU) welcomed and met the representatives of Japan Ryokan Hotel Association, Japan to discuss upcoming cooperative programs.
The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Minh Thuy – ULIS’s Vice President, Mr. Bui Dinh Thang – Deputy Director of Cooperation and Development Office, Ms. Nguyen Huyen Trang – Deputy Director of Politics and Student Affairs Office and other relevant officers.
From Japan Ryokan Hotel Association, Mr. Nobuyuki Sato – Management Advisor, Mr. Tomofumi Takemura – Advisor and some other representatives took part in the meeting.
Mr. Nobuyuki Sato expressed his gratitude to the Vice President Ngo Minh Thuy and ULIS for the whole-hearted and thoughtful reception. He presented about more than 1300 resorts and hotels under the association’s ownership. He shared about the implementation of its policy on employing foreign employees to work in Japan in this October as well as the expectation of its further development in April 2019.
The advisor of the Japan Ryokan Hotel Association, Mr. Tomofumi Takemura said that the foreign labour sources are also being highly valued in manufacturing and agricultural sectors of Japan. He also talked about the strong development of the joint education at Kansai University. He believed that through training high quality human resources in Japan, service and tourism sectors of Vietnam will be strongly promoted.
Addressing at the meeting, the Vice President Ngo Minh Thuy extended her greetings to the representatives of the Japan Ryokan Hotel Association. She introduced ULIS and the history of teaching Japanese at ULIS as well as the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture. She also shared about the internship of ULIS’s students in Japan.
Also at the meeting, the two sides exchanged about potential cooperation areas in the future, especially the internship of ULIS’s students in Japan.
After this reception, both sides will hold additional meetings to discuss further cooperative activities in the future.
