This includes two elements, management and support, in which support plays a more important role. In the recent years, ULIS has been making great efforts to improve and enhance the quality of students affairs management, reflected in a number of new policies and practical activities such as the determination to transfer the students affairs approach from management to support, the establishment of a Student Support Center, the organization of the Job Day and F.I.R.E Festival, the organization of regular activities of connecting enterprises and signing contracts with many recruitment agencies, the implementation of many internship programs abroad and soft skill development programs, etc.

The conference had two keynote presentations. The “Survey of Learners Satisfaction with Public Education Services” presented by Mr. Nguyen Ninh Bac. the Director of the Center for Quality Assurance showed that most of ULIS students were satisfied with the public education services of the University. Training environment, ability of accessing to public education services, teaching methods and progress made in communication and teamwork were most appreciated by students.

In the presentation “Introduction to the model of renovating the practice, internship and developing complementary skills for ULIS’s students” delivered by the Vice Director of Political and Student Affairs Office pointed out that because there were over 160 foreign language training schools in the country, students themselves would be the “product” for university positioning. Therefore, the implementation of this practical project was very important and required the cooperation of all staff and students.

After that, the conference delegates were divided into four groups to discuss four topics, student affairs management and understanding; student support in practice, internship and soft skill development; cooperation among different units in student affairs management and support and student support in study and research. The discussion was open and active especially with the final reports and constructive suggestions from all groups

Addressing at the conference, Mr Nguyen Dinh Duc, Head of the Academic Committee of VNU praised ULIS’s recent creative activities including its successful student affairs. The good news is that the university’s prestige has been ever-more enhanced. As a constructive work as well as “Ambition Education”, student affairs created favorable conditions for students to improve their knowledge and soft skills.

Sharing at the conference, President Do Tuan Minh emphasized the message spread in many forums that the University would continue to increase the students’ satisfaction. He hoped that every student of ULIS would be a special “product” with a good job after their graduation.
