Experiences of teaching, and assessing students shared
On January 11th, 2019, ULIS-VNU organized a workshop on developing supplementary skills in teaching and learning for leaders of ULIS Faculties.
Attending the workshop were President Do Tuan Minh; leaders of Academic Affairs Office, Politics & Students Affairs Office and Center for Quality Assurance; and leaders of all Faculties and Divisions.
Speaking at the seminar, President Do Tuan Minh affirmed, “in order to exist and develop in today’s highly competitive educational environment, the University must pay more attention on training high quality students.”
In recent years, in order to achieve that goal, the University has had a series of actions to show determination such as: establishment of the Student Support Center and the School Counseling Center under the Politics & Students Affairs Office, and Issuance of a Study Project ‘study through experience’; etc. Thus, ULIS always has high rates of employment and good salaries for students upon graduation.
Since the AUN-QA quality assessment in 2018 was highly appreciated, President Do Tuan Minh believed that English Language fast-track program would be the leading one.
Also, at the seminar, lecturers from the Faculty of English Teacher Education shared their experiences in developing and teaching the fast-track program’s curriculum to other faculties.
