Conference on ‘enhancing the quality of fast-track programs’

On June 20th, 2019, in Hoa Binh, the conference on ‘enhancing the quality of fast-track programs’ in ULIS was held.

Delivering his remarks at the conference, President Do Tuan Minh said that the fast-track programs on Korean, Japanese and Chinese in accordance to Circular No. 23 began to be implemented from the 2018-2019 academic year and numerous positive results were secured. From the 2019-2020 school year, the number of students enrolled in such programs will account for 60% of the total number of students of the whole University.

 

At the conference, Director of the Academic Affairs Ha Le Kim Anh gave a presentation on the project of renovating teaching activities on the period 2019 to 2025.

 

Amidst the current trend in increasing college autonomy, the University continues to review and develop new fast-track programs in accordance to Circular No. 23. Tentatively, by 2020, basically, all majors will have been transformed  to the CDIO model of learning outcomes, ensuring the provision of high-quality human resources with foreign language proficiency for the country.

 

In the discussion session, delegates were divided into 4 groups to discuss Innovation solutions and quality enhancement, mostly focused on guiding documents, the role of steering committees, increasing strong communication, training programs, teaching staff, teaching methods, English teaching programs, learner feedback, skills development for students, internships, scholarships, facilities matter and so forth.
