On January 20, 2026, ULIS–VNU held a signing ceremony with the Academy of Policy and Development, Ministry of Finance, marking a new milestone and opening prospects for future cooperation.

Attending the ceremony, from ULIS were President Nguyen Xuan Long, Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son, and the President of the Linguistics Society of Vietnam/Chairman of the ULIS Alumni Network Nguyen Lan Trung, along with representatives of leadership and staff from various units. From APD, there were President Tran Trong Nguyen, Vice President Nguyen The Vinh, Vice President Nhu Trong Bach, and representatives from relevant departments and offices.

The ceremony began with introductory videos, giving attendees a look into the background and operations of both universities.

 Representing APID, President Tran Trong Nguyen expressed his hope that both institutions would strengthen coordination and effectively expand cooperation in training, community programs, and foreign language education combined with research.

At the ceremony, the two institutions also exchanged views, shared feedback, and proposed orientations and plans to be implemented in the coming period. During this, the two sides officially inked a Memorandum of Understanding, marking their commitment to a comprehensive partnership.
