On November 8th, 2017, University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS – VNU) held a signing ceremony with University of Quebec À Montréal (UQAM), Canada.

Dr. Do Tuan Minh – ULIS’s President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Minh Thuy – ULIS’s Vice President, Dr. Bui Dinh Thang – Deputy Director of Development and Cooperation Office, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Quang Dong – Head of Science and Technology Office, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Hong Van – Dean of the Faculty of French Languages and Culture, Dr. Dang Thi Thanh Thuy and Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa – Vice Deans of the Faculty of French Languages and Culture attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Dr. Do Tuan Minh and Mr. Robert Proulx – UQAM’s President signed a MOU between the two schools. Accordingly, ULIS and the University of Quebec À Montréal agreed to cooperate in the fields of scientific research, exchange of experts, students and lecturers, intern support, short-term training programs, etc.


Also at the signing ceremony, representatives of the two universities exchanged views on potential cooperation activities in the coming time, such as scientific seminars, lecturer and student exchange, research method exchange, etc. In particular, the first collaborative activity between ULIS and the University of Québec À Montréal (an international workshop on education and research by the end of November at ULIS) was also discussed.

The signing ceremony of ULIS and the University of Québec À Montreal closed, marking the beginning of a promising partnership between the two universities.
