On November 8^th, 2019, ULIS – VNU solemnly held the 10th anniversary of establishment of the Faculty of Linguistics & Culture of English-speaking countries at Sunwah hall.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, Dean of the Faculty said that the Faculty was officially established in 2009. “If you chose a metaphorical image to represent the three major divisions of the Faculty, it would be the traditional image of a stable tripod and also a sturdy tree with 3 branches growing strong and independent but closely connected”, she added.

In his congratulatory speech, President Do Tuan Minh said that reviewing the past 10 years, the Faculty was one of the evidence showing that the University had successfully implemented a big and bold policy in connecting and focusing different resources to thrive.

At the ceremony, the special guests such as former lecturer Mai Trong Nhuan, former lecturer Trinh Ngoc Thach shared about the history of Faculty; Former President Nguyen Hoa revealed the origin of the name of the Faculty.
