Dear respectful partners,

First and foremost, we would like to extend our sincere greetings to all of you, home and overseas partners, who have accompanied the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University (ULIS – VNU) in all spheres for a long time up to now.

2023 has gone by ULIS with 10 outstanding achievements and activities of ULIS, including:

1. Appointment of the Chairman of ULIS University Council for the 2022-2027 tenure, ULIS President for the 2023-2028 tenure; appointment of one Vice President and re-appointment of one Vice President;
2. Successful completion of quality assurance tasks;;
3. Successful undergraduate admission and commencement of the new Undergraduate Program on Transnational Culture and Communication;
4. Several projects approved by the Ministry of Education and Training and Vietnam National University, Hanoi: organization of training and issuance of certificates on foreign language pedagogy; organization of computer-based foreign language assessment exams in line with the 6-level foreign language competency framework for Vietnam; and organization of exams for international foreign language proficiency certificates, including NATTEST, DSD, HSK and VNU Tests;
5. Successfully organized ULIS Annual National Conference “Research and teaching foreign languages, linguistics and international studies in Vietnam” (UNC 2023); International Graduate Research Symposium (IGRS 2023); and Student Festival for Innovation, Scientific Research and Entrepreneurship (ULIS FIRE 6.0);

6. Implementation of numerous community service activities;

7. ULIS 20^th Trade Union Congress for the term 2023-2028 and the Congress of ULIS Students’ Association for the term 2023-2025 organized; actively participating in activities to commemorate the 30^th anniversary of the Government’s Decree on Vietnam National University, Hanoi;

8. Organization of ULIS Village Spring Festival 2023 – UFest; and 73^rd Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students (January 9^th, 1950 – January 9^th, 2023);

9. Welcoming several high-level leaders;

10. Facility renovation completed and put into use: ULIS incubation space, block A9; Open library space in block C3; block complex A4-A5.
