“French would be a “bridge” linking the relationship between the two universities” President Do Tuan Minh says.

On January 9^th, 2019, ULIS-VNU held a meeting and worked with Professor . Patrick Gilli, President of Paul-Valery University Montpellier III (French Republic).

Attending the meeting were President Do Tuan Minh, Chairman of the Cooperation & Development Advisory Council Nguyen Lan Trung, Head of the Cooperation & Development Office Do Minh Hoang, Deputy Dean of French Language & Culture Dang Thi Thanh Thuy and Nguyen Thanh Hoa and other  members of the Faculty.

The two universities signed a cooperation agreement on September 1^st, 2016 with the aim of strengthening and developing cooperation activities such as staff exchange, student exchange, information exchange, and organizing joint researches and cultural events, etc. On this occasion, President Do Tuan Minh and President Patrick Gilli exchanged a memorandum of understanding between the two universities.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Patrick Gilli said that the two universities had signed a joint cooperation agreement, which was a basis for more specific cooperation activities to be held.

President Do Tuan Minh affirmed that French language had received more attention of ULIS’s students, and the language would also be a “bridge” linking the relationship between the two universities.

Representatives of the two universities also discussed the matter of cooperation in great detail. As planned, the two universities will jointly organize a conference in March, 2019.
