On November 28th, 2016, Dr. Bui Dinh Thang – lecturer from Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture was appointed as the Vice-Director of Cooperation and Development Office.

The appointment ceremony was attended by Dr. Do Tuan Minh– President of ULIS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Duc Thai- Director of Personnel and Organization Office, Dr. Do Minh Hoang- Director of Cooperation and Development Office, Dr. Dao Thi Nga My- Dean of Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture and the whole staff of Cooperation and Development Office.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Thai read the official decision on the appointment of Mr. Thang as the Vice-Director of Cooperation and Development Office.

Afterwards, Mr. Minh officially issued the decision on a new position to Mr. Thang. He also extended his congratulations to Mr. Thang and believed that in the new role, he would accomplish all missions and make great contributions to the development of Cooperation and Development Office in particular and the university in general.

Mr. Thang has built a strong attachment to ULIS since he studied at Foreign Language Specialized School (1999-2002) and then in Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture (2002-2007). With the excellent academic achievements, he was recruited as the lecturer of Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture in 2007. After working at ULIS for three years, he decided to study at Saga University in Japan, majoring in International Economics (2010-2016) with the desire to enhance his own qualifications as well as to make more contributions to the university. After learning for over 5 years, instead of staying in Japan for work, Mr. Thang decided to return to ULIS and devote himself to the cause of education of the university. Mr. Thang has made constant efforts at work. Thus, his appointment to become Vice-Director of Cooperation and Development Office is ULIS’s recognition of his efforts. Simultaneously, it also expresses high hopes for his greater contributions in the time to come.

“It is a great honor for me to be appointed to the new position by the university. A new position is always associated with new difficulties and challenges. However, with the trust from leaders of ULIS, particularly the support from Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture and Cooperation and Development Office as well as other units in the university, I will try my best to improve my qualifications and fulfill every duty.”, said Mr. Thang in the ceremony.
