On November 22^nd, 2019, ULIS – VNU, under the stewardship of the National Foreign Language Project Management Board, Ministry of Education and Training, the final showdown of the English Olympiad for English major students was held with the participation of five teams from Hanoi University of Natural Resources & Environment, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Hanoi Medical University, Academy of Journalism & Communication and the University of Science and Technology – University of Danang.

The event was attended by a lot of distinguished guests and representatives from the Central Youth Union, VNU’s Youth Union, Hanoi Student Association, VNU student Association, Management Board of the foreign language Project.

From the ULIS side, Vice President Lam Quang Dong, Head of the organizing Board and representatives from ULIS’s units attended the event.

Particularly, there were members of the 5 teams participating at the contest.

Delivering his remarks, Vice President Lam Quang Dong expressed the honor of ULIS when it was entrusted with the task of organizing the English Olympiad for English major students and thanked the representatives, the institutions, the teams, and students for participating in the program.

In the final round, contestants from the five teams took part in activities to improve their English presentation skills and develop their own creative ideas.

The team from Hanoi University of Natural Resources & Environment conquered the judges and the supporters to win the Grand prize.

In addition to the Grand prize for Hanoi University of Natural Resources & Environment, the other teams were also granted the following prizes:

First prize: Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

Second prize: Hanoi Medical University.

Third prize: Academy of Journalism & Communication and the University of Science and Technology – University of Danang.
