From January 4, 2026 to January 6, 2026, the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS – VNU) organized experiential activities and training for outstanding students and concluded the ULIS Ambassador Program 2025 in Cat Ba (Hai Phong). These activities were not only an occasion to look back on a vibrant year with many highlights of the Program, but also created a space for connection, inspiration, and orientation for the ambassador team in the next phase.

The program included the participation of Party Committee Secretary Do Tuan Minh, Vice President Ha Le Kim Anh, representatives of the Organizing Committee of the ULIS Ambassador Program, the 2025 Leadership Ambassadors, the 2026 Special Ambassadors, and invited guests.

Over the course of eight years of implementation, the ULIS Ambassador Program has become an annual activity with important significance in building a core student team, contributing to spreading the image, values, and identity of the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

In 2025, the “ULIS Ambassador” Program continued to be deployed and was divided into three activity areas: Academic Ambassadors, Communication Ambassadors, and Recruitment Ambassadors. Under the close direction of the Party Committee and the University Board of Management, the unity of the Organizing Committee, and the efforts of the Ambassadors, all three areas achieved noteworthy results.
In the “Academic Ambassadors” program, there was 1 Supervising Ambassador and 40 Academic Ambassadors, with 344 students participating in the project; in the “Communication Ambassadors” program, 50 members were divided into three groups, among which the Information Dissemination group released nearly 900 products, the Information Processing group recorded 6,367 interactions and 75,678 visits, and the Technical Communication group produced 679 photos and 56 videos; in the “Recruitment Ambassadors” program, 227 Ambassadors from 174 high schools nationwide successfully completed their tasks, providing counseling at 160 high schools across 101 sessions, and the Recruitment Counseling Support group saw participation from more than 11,700 students.
The highlight of the trip was the Gala Dinner summarizing the ULIS Ambassador Program 2025, where outstanding collectives and individuals were recognized after a year of effort and dedication. Importantly, the program was also an occasion for the 2026 Special Ambassadors to learn and experience together with faculty members, the 2025 Leadership Ambassadors, and to become familiar with the operational environment at ULIS.

Speaking at the program, Party Committee Secretary Do Tuan Minh highly appreciated the effectiveness of implementing the ULIS Ambassador Program in 2025, affirming that it is a practical activity that contributes positively to communication, spreading the image and values of the University. Dr. Do Tuan Minh expressed his appreciation and thanks to the Organizing Committee and the Program Standing Committee for their efforts in building and organizing systematic and effective activities, while also commending the sense of responsibility, proactiveness, and positive contributions of the ULIS Ambassadors, who have accompanied the University and helped create the Program’s success over the past year.

At the Gala, faculty and Ambassadors reviewed the ULIS Ambassador journey in 2025 through a summary video, thereby offering innovations, feedback, and directions for implementing the ULIS Ambassador activities in 2026. At the same time, the program welcomed the new Ambassadors – the 2026 Special Ambassadors – continuing the work of previous cohorts with a new spirit and promising activities for the upcoming term.
In addition, faculty members, 2025 Leadership Ambassadors, and 2026 Special Ambassadors were divided into 04 activity groups and competed during the Gala Dinner night. The cultural performances shared between faculty and students in each group created a close and warm atmosphere, contributing to strengthening the bonds within the ULIS community. The Gala concluded with awards presented to participating teams.
Besides the Gala, the program also included team building challenges and professional group activities. Faculty and Ambassadors exchanged experiences, interacted, shared development orientations and work plans, and built professional activity plans in the new context, focusing not only on recruitment planning and promoting the University’s image, the roles, responsibilities, and resilience of ULIS students in community activities, but also emphasizing AI application and digital transformation for ULIS Ambassador activities.

Additionally, there was a cultural exchange activity with the participation of calligrapher Tran Quoc Chi, Chair of the UNESCO Hanoi Calligraphy Club, who directly wrote and presented meaningful calligraphy works to faculty and student ambassadors. This activity not only carried rich traditional cultural values in early spring but also helped create a reflective and bonding space for members to share good wishes, adding motivation and positive spirit for the journey of study and contribution in the new year.

The experiential visit, training, and summary trip in Cat Ba concluded with many emotions and impressions, opening a new chapter for the ULIS Ambassador Program. This was not only an occasion to look back at the achievements of 2025 but also a meaningful beginning to motivate the ambassador team to continue accompanying the University in 2026 and in the years to come.
