On October 9th, 2024, in the atmosphere of the 578th anniversary of Hangeul the Korean alphabet,  the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture and King Sejong Academy jointly organized the 2024 Hangeulnal Festival at ULIS-VNU. Many exciting experiential activities were held to attract interested students.

Opening the program was exciting dance and singing performances.

In this festival,  Ms. Kim Eun Hee – the speaker of the program, introduced the history of formation and development of the Korean alphabet Hangeul. Hangeul was an alphabet system invented by Sejong King in 1443, and it has been in use from 1446 to the present. Nowadays, Hangeul is increasingly popular and expresses Korean cultural value. 

Hangeulnal Festival 2024 also celebrated cultural experiential activities including enjoying Korean traditional cuisines, trying on Hanbok costumes and participating in traditional games. These activities were expected to promote the understanding of Korean culture among the students.
