On June 23^rd, 2021, at Sunwah Hall, a ceremony was held to award the Medal for the development of VNU to Mr. Étienne Rolland-Piègue, Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Activities of the French Embassy in Vietnam and Director of the Institute of Francophonie in Vietnam.

At the ceremony, Préident Do Tuan Minh presented the Medal for the development of VNU and the Certificate of Merit and gifts from ULIS to Mr. Étienne Rolland-Piègue.

Delivering his speech at the ceremony, President Do Tuan Minh said that Mr. Étienne Rolland-Piègue as Counselor for Cultural Cooperation and Activities – French Embassy and Director of the Institute of Francophonie in Vietnam had actively implemented many cooperation programs and cultural activities, contributing to the development of ULIS in particular and VNU in general.

Thanks to these contributions, VNU awarded Mr. Étienne Rolland-Piègue the medal “For the development of Vietnam National University, Hanoi”.

Extending his thanks, Mr. Étienne Rolland-Piègue expressed his honor to receive the Medal for the development of VNU and the Certificate of Merit from ULIS. During the 5 years of his tenure as Counselor, his best memories are with the University where he met many good friends and participated in many meaningful activities.

The ceremony ended in an intimate and cozy atmosphere. ULIS would like to thank Mr. Étienne Rolland-Piègue and wish him more success in the future.
