Meeting and Cultural Exchange with the Japanese Youth Delegation Participating in the JENESYS 2025 Program in Vietnam
On December 5, 2025, the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS-VNU) organized a meeting and cultural exchange with a delegation of Japanese students participating in the JENESYS 2025 Youth Exchange Program in Vietnam. The program aims to promote cultural understanding and strengthen youth exchange between Vietnam and Japan.

Representing ULIS-VNU were Vice President Dr. Hoa Ngoc Son; Dr. Luu Manh Kien, Deputy Head of the Office of Research and Partnerships; Mr. Pham Minh Quang, Deputy Secretary of the ULIS Youth Union; Ms. Tran Kieu Hue, Dean of the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture; along with lecturers and students from the Faculty.
The event also welcomed Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Lieu, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Vietnam Youth Support Center; Ms. Sae Yamazaki, representative of the JENESYS Program; and eight Japanese students taking part in the JENESYS 2025 program in Vietnam.
In his opening remarks, Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son warmly welcomed the Japanese delegation to ULIS. He highlighted the history and development of ULIS and the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture, as well as the existing student exchange programs with Japanese universities. Dr. Hoa expressed his hope to welcome more Japanese student groups to Vietnam in the future, thereby fostering deeper cultural exchange and strengthening Vietnam–Japan cooperation. He also expressed confidence that the visiting students would have meaningful and engaging experiences at ULIS.


During the program, ULIS students from the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture introduced key information about the University, including its history, facilities, academic programs, cultural exchange activities, and student mobility initiatives. They also highlighted notable academic and cultural activities of the Faculty.


The Japanese delegation introduced aspects of Japanese history and culture, including famous landmarks, traditional cuisine, and J-Pop music.



Throughout the event, students from both countries engaged in various cultural exchange activities such as listening to V-Pop music and participating in traditional Japanese games.


The program concluded with enhanced mutual understanding between Vietnamese and Japanese students, contributing to stronger cultural ties and cooperation between the two nations.
