New advances in Korean language training and research and Korean studies in Vietnam
On June 29th, 2024, ULIS-VNU held the international conference KF FRIENDS NETWORKING WORKSHOP 2024 under the theme “New advances in Korean language training and research and Korean studies in Viet Nam”. The conference was organized by ULIS in collaboration with the Korean Scientific Research Association of Vietnam (KRAV) under the sponsorship of the Korean International Exchange Fund in Vietnam.
Delivering his speech at the opening ceremony, Vice President Lam Quang Dong hoped that the workshop would contribute to creating “new advances” in the field of Korean language education and Korean studies for the next 30 years, and believed that ULIS could play an important role in that process.
Mr. Choi Jae Jin – Chief Representative of the Korean Foundation for International Exchange in Vietnam (Korea Foundation – KF) believed that the workshop and the Foundation’s activities in recent times would contribute to promoting Korean language education in Vietnam.
The workshop focused on discussing the actual status and directions for implementing training and research of Korean studies in Vietnam in the future.
At the plenary session, two reports were presented.
At the workshop, delegates also participated in presentations and listened to reports in 3 subcommittees on related topics. New knowledge, perspectives along with discussion activities created a valuable and highly international workshop.
