On June 27^th, 2020, ULIS – VNU in collaboration with the HPDF Foundation organized an online seminar on “Current situation and importance of translation and interpretation for Vietnam’s comprehensive development and integration”.

Delivering his speech at the seminar, Vice President Lam Quang Dong affirmed that in the context of globalization, translators played an important role in all fields. As a university specializing in foreign language training, ULIS always tried to meet social requirements on translation and interpretation training.

The presentations and discussions at the seminar were divided into 5 sessions.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hung Tien, on behalf of ULIS, shared his work on translation and interpretation at the seminar.

The seminar was attended by about 80 participants in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City as well as many others watching it via online platforms.
