On January 6^th, 2024, ULIS-VNU held the opening ceremony of the first course of foreign language pedagogical training program.

Delivering her opening speech, Vice President Ha Le Kim Anh emphasized that the start of training for the first foreign language pedagogical course was a mark, a continuation, and also the beginning of a new activity of the School, further contributing to ULIS’s education and community service.

Representing the students of the course, student Do Thi Hai Anh (Faculty of French Language and Culture) said that although her major is linguistics, she had always dreamed of becoming a teacher.

During the program, Ms. Nguyen Thu Le Hang – Head of the Liberal Arts Division of the Faculty of English Language Teacher Education delivered very interesting shares about “Portrait of a teacher”.

Also, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Deputy Director of the Center for Information Technology – Communications & Learning Resources presented detailed instructions on how to use online software to ensure students could complete the course requirements.

In the introduction to the curriculum, Ms. Nguyen Quynh Hoa  – Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office said that to meet current training and teaching requirements, the course was organized in both face-to-face and online formats. Students will receive a certificate signed by the School President, which is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training.

After that, students discussed, exchanged, and asked the teachers many relevant questions.
