On September 26^th, 2023, ULIS-VNU in collaboration with Army Academy 1, Ministry of National Defense, organized the opening ceremony of the 4^th in-service degree course in English Language for 50 comrades who are officials and lecturers of the Academy.

Delivering his speech at the ceremony, Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son represented ULIS to congratulate the 50 students participating in this course. Emphasizing the role of English in today’s life and work, he affirmed that by studying the course, students would not only expand their knowledge but also be equipped with other soft skills.

Also at the ceremony, Major General – Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice President of the Academy, said that the academy had been actively promoting training and capacity development activities for its staff. “One of the most important factors to meet the task of building the army in the era of international integration is to improve foreign language and information technology skills for officers, lecturers and students of the Academy” he affirmed.

At the opening ceremony, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Language Education & Professional Development Do Tuan Long announced the decision to enroll the students of the training course.
