On January 9, 2026, the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS–VNU) held the Opening Ceremony of the training course on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in training support activities. The course was attended by 54 participants, who are specialists from various units across the University.

The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Mr. Do Tuan Minh, Secretary of the Party Committee, representatives of university units, the Organizing Committee, and all 54 course participants.

The ceremony began with the opening remarks combined with a special cultural performance presented by Dr. Do Tuan Minh using AI video technology. This unique performance created a fresh and dynamic atmosphere, attracting strong interest and excitement from both delegates and participants.

In his opening speech, the Secretary of the Party Committee, Mr.  Do Tuan Minh, delivered a keynote address providing guidance and setting the learning spirit for the entire course. The speech was presented in a flexible format through AI-generated video combined with live remarks, demonstrating the harmonious integration of online and face-to-face modes in organizing the course. At the same time, it emphasized the important role of AI application in practical work. Accordingly, ULIS has been implementing training activities on AI application in teaching since March 2025 through a series of regular webinars held every Monday. Entering 2026, the University continues to expand new training programs, among which the course on applying AI in training support activities on the LMS system marks a starting point and becomes a new highlight in professional development activities. Alongside online learning, the program also includes in-person sessions for guidance, Q&A, and in-depth seminars.

Immediately after that, an overview video of the training program was presented, helping participants understand the AI support functions, as well as the structure, content, and organization of the course. At the same time, the team of experts who will support learners throughout the program was introduced, reaffirming the Organizing Committee’s continuous accompaniment and support.

Continuing the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Huong, Deputy Head of the Office of Science, Technology and Partnerships, and Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Deputy Head of the Office of Academic and Student Affairs, guided lecturers and participants on how to use and effectively exploit the course system. Participants were directly instructed on logging into the LMS system, accessing learning modules, completing assignments, receiving ChatGPT-Go accounts for learning purposes, and signing a commitment to complete the course in accordance with the requirements.

The Opening Ceremony of the training course “Application of AI in Training Support Activities” concluded in an enthusiastic and uplifting atmosphere. The program serves as an important starting point, contributing to improving AI application capacity for the University’s specialists, and moving towards building a modern university governance environment at ULIS – VNU.
