Opening ceremony of UMS’s first school year held
On September 5th, 2019, UMS – ULIS held the opening ceremony of the 2019-2020 school year at Vu Dinh Lien Amphitheater. This opening ceremony marked the first school year of UMS after its official establishment earlier in 2019.
The ceremony was attended by Vice President Nguyen Xuan Long, Vice President Lam Quang Dong, Principal Nguyen Phu Chien, Vice Principal Nguyen Huyen Trang, representatives of other departments, staff, teachers, students and parents of students.
At the ceremony, Principal Nguyen Phu Chien read the new school year congratulatory letter sent by General Secretary/Vietnam President Nguyen Phu Trong. The letter praised efforts and achievements of the education sector as a whole in recent years.
At the ceremony, Principal Nguyen Phu Chien beat the drum to officially open the 2019-2020 school year of UMS.
On behalf of 100 new students, Hoang Vuong Khanh Linh shared her feelings about having an exciting period of time since the first day at UMS.
At the opening ceremony, students showcased their very own special performances. The performances of drum, drama, modern dance, choir and so on were orchestrated confidently, showing their talents and maturity in just a short period of time.
The opening ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere. All teachers, students and parents took photos together to mark the beginning of a promising new school year with much joy, happiness and success.
