The final round of the “Igniting Innovative Entrepreneurship 2025” Competition – A distinguished forum for fostering innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among ULIS students

On January 9, 2026, the final round of the “Igniting Innovative Entrepreneurship 2025” Competition was held at the ULIS-VNU.

The competition attracted attention from a large number of faculty members, distinguished guests and students.This held practical in promoting the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, while also providing a forum for promising ideas and projects to be shared, connected and further developed, thereby contributing to the University’s goal of enhancing the quality of scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurial activities.

The “Igniting Innovative Entrepreneurship” competition was organized with the aim of fostering entrepreneurial spirit among students, while equipping them with essential knowledge and skills for innovation and entrepreneurship throughout their academic journey. Through the competition, students are provided opportunities to formulate, develop and refine startup ideas connected to social realities, thereby enhancing their research, presentation, persuasion and teamwork skills.

Representatives from the University of Languages and International Studies included Dr. Hoa Ngoc Son and  Dr. Ha Le Kim Anh -Vice President, leaders of the University’s units. 

Representing the invited guests and the Panel of Judges, the program was honored to welcome Nguyen Thi Thu Hoa, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Truong Foods Joint Stock Company; Pham Hoai Anh, Deputy Director of the Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of HUST, Nguyen Ngoc Quan, Co-Founder of Wine Agency; and Nguyen Hoai Linh, Founder of the Chilling Space beverage brand.

In his opening remarks, Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son highlighted that the Final Round of the “Igniting Innovative Entrepreneurship 2025” Competition took place on the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Pupils and Students, and reaffirmed the competition’s important role in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship as part of the FIRE Project for the comprehensive development of ULIS students.

The “Igniting Innovative Entrepreneurship 2025” Competition consisted of two preliminary rounds, “Nurturing” and “Seeding”, attracting 101 projects from 310 students. From these, the Organizing Committee selected the Top 10 outstanding projects to advance to the Final Round, “Igniting”. In the Final Round, each team was given 7 minutes to present their project and 5 minutes for Q&A with the Panel of Judges. The projects were evaluated based on novelty and creativity, feasibility, market potential and social impact, team capacity, and presentation skills.

In the final results, the Organizing Committee presented 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 4 Encouragement Prizes, along with an Outreach Award and a Potential Award. Notably, Board Game British Culture Quest won the First Prize, while other outstanding projects were recognized across the remaining categories. Beyond the awards, the winning projects are expected to continue developing and spreading their value within the student community.

The Final Round of the “Igniting Innovative Entrepreneurship 2025” Competition concluded with a commemorative photo session. Beyond being an intellectual platform, the competition served as a strong source of inspiration, motivating ULIS students to confidently pursue innovation and entrepreneurship in the future.
