Being the most outstanding task, the Project on the renovation of practicum, internship and supplementary skill development for ULIS’s students was delivered through two presentations at the meeting.

On October 17^th, 2018, ULIS-VNU held a meeting between the University’s Executive Board, Heads and Leaders of different units with the Management Board of the Youth Union and the Student’s Association.

The meeting was attended by ULIS’s President Do Tuan Minh, Vice President Nguyen Xuan Long, Vice President Ngo Minh Thuy, Heads and Leaders of different units, Secretary of the Youth Union, President of the Student’s Association, and 35 students who are members of the Management Board of the Youth Union and the Student’s Association.

Particularly, from the VNU side, Secretary of the Youth Union Truong Ngoc Kiem and Vice President of the Student’s Association Hua Thanh Hoa joined the meeting.

At the meeting, reports on the results of the 2017-2018 academic year activities and the 2018-2019 academic year prominent missions of the Youth Union and the Student’s Association were delivered by the Secretary of the Youth Union Nguyen Hoang Giang.

Out of these, there were 3 main tasks that the Youth Union and the Student’s Association needed to focus on, namely: supporting the communication task to keep students informed about the Project on the renovation of practicum, internship and supplementary skill development; endorsing all the training departments on the implementation of the Fast-track program according to Circular 23/2014/ TT BGDDT, Langson program, etc; propagandizing the moral “respect teachers and appreciate good morals”.

Two presentations related to the Project were delivered at the meeting. The presentations showed the urgency of the implementation of this Project for the sake of ULIS’s students and the role of students in this Project as well.

Chairing a seminar in the middle of the meeting along with Vice President Ngo Minh Thuy and Secretary of the Youth Union Nguyen Hoang Giang, President Do Tuan Minh listened to constructive comments from the lecturers and the students.

The President recognized the hard work that the students had put in to prepare for the presentations. He also affirmed the major role of the Youth Union and Student’s Association on the Project and many others.

The Chairman of the Cooperation and Development Council Nguyen Lan Trung stated that: “students need to alter their personal awareness in order to understand the significance of the Project.”

He added: “The Internship Document will create excitement and emotion for students to excel themselves.”

Delivering his speech to end the meeting, ULIS’s President put forwards some certain tasks for the Youth Union and the Student’s Association to implement: organizing the class’s secretary and class’s monitor Conference on November 11^th; designing, manufacturing, and selling ULIS’s products; Being in charge of the ‘Book review’ Project; Implementing three programs, which are clean and beautiful ULIS; studious ULIS; and active ULIS.

The secretary of the VNU’s Youth Union also shared the support from the VNU’s Youth Union in the projects and programs of ULIS.
