Two FLSS students secured second prize at national science and technology competition for high school students in 2023-2024 school year
On March 20th-22nd, 2024, the FLSS delegation led by Principal Nguyen Phu Chien participated in the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the 2023-2024 school year in Bac Giang. Proudly, two students Do Gia Hien (11D) and Dao Tuan Hung (11C) excellently won the Second Prize in Physics and Astronomy, with the topic: “Building an optical measuring system using microcomputer vision to determine calcium ion concentration in solution”. They also received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training.
Participating in this year’s contest were 149 topics from 74 participating units from 62 Departments of Education and Training and 12 High Schools. The FLSS team participated in the competition with 2 projects: Making biodiesel fuel from waste cooking oil sources (Le Duc Minh – Class 10B) and Building an optical measuring system using microcomputer vision to determine of calcium ion concentration in solution (Do Gia Hien – Class 11D and Dao Tuan Hung – Class 11C).
Along with the second prize of the competition, Gia Hien and Tuan Hung were also honored to receive the Creative Youth Badge from the Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
