ULIS pioneer in combining defense and physical education

(MirrorIt) – Being the first university to combine defense education and physical education, Ulis has taken students from surprise to delight.

Combination for a holistic experience

On August 28, 2019 University of Languages and International Studies officially launched a teaching project about the combination of two courses, defense and physical education.

After completing the course, students are granted 02 certificates: 01 certificate of defense education and 01 certificate of physical education. According to the project, students will spend 6 weeks at the center. Students participating in this course would study 2 shifts: half a PE session, and half a defense session.

Difficulties turn into memories

For the students, there were a number of difficulties that arose during their time studying at VNU-National Defense and Security Training Center (Hola), such as the process of adapting to a new living environment or the difference in living hours and regimes in school.

According to teachers, the hardships of managing large companies with many students are no longer a new problem. Student management is also associated with empathy between teachers and students. Mr Vinh (teacher at center) said: “The difficulties of the students will also be the difficulties of the teacher, but I have not noticed any difficulties because I always see the students smiling and happy. Difficulties for ULISERS also turn into memories.”
