ULIS Quality Day 2025: Honoring Innovative Initiatives
On October 13, 2025, ULIS – VNU held ULIS Quality Day 2025 at Vu Dinh Lien Hall. One of the most anticipated highlights of the program was the Golden Star of Quality Award in order to honour the outstanding collectives and individuals making enormous contributions to the University’s quality assurance work.

Opening the program, Chairman of the university’s board Do Tuan Minh affirmed this event was annually held to summarize significant achievements in quality assurance work. Emphasizing the establishment of the Center for Research on Foreign Language Teaching and Learning for Vietnamese People (established on November 6, 1975, under Decision No. 1076/QD of the Ministry of Education) – a unit that has long been closely associated with ULIS’s efforts in ensuring educational quality as well as the historical context of quality assurance in education, Dr. Do Tuan Minh expressed his belief that ULIS Quality Day 2025 with the Golden Star of Quality Award will be the chance for honoring excellent collectives in promoting educational quality, thereby expressing a strong desire for innovation, creativity and development of foreign education.

At the event, Head of Office of Governance and Compliance Duong Quynh Hoa announced the commendation decision on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Center for Research on Foreign Language Teaching and Learning for Vietnamese People, awarded to the Quality Management Department.

The most anticipated highlight of the program was the “Golden Star of Quality” competition – a creative contest designed to honor the spirit of innovation and encourage the sharing of ideas for quality improvement within the university. After a thorough selection process, there was 6 outstanding teams in advance to the final round including:
- Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture – Applying AI in the development of Chinese teaching and assessment materials;
- Faculty of English Language and Culture – Vietnam Scientist Link for ULIS (VSL for U);
- Office of Academic Affairs and Student Services – ULIS Academic Management Process System;
- Faculty of Psychology and Liberal Education – U-Care Model: Humanistic and Liberal-Based Mental Health Care;
- ULIS Middle School (UMS) – Natural Sciences in Bilingual General Education;
- Office of Science, Technology and Development – “Scientific Training Camp” Series.
The teams delivered impressive presentations that skillfully combined professional expertise with creative thinking, spreading the message: “Innovation for sustainable quality in foreign language education”.








In the final results, the First Prize was awarded to the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture for their project “Applying AI in the Development of Chinese Teaching and Assessment Materials.” The Second Prize went to the Office of Academic Affairs and Student Services with their product “ULIS Academic Management Process System,” while the Third Prize was proudly earned by the Faculty of English Language and Culture for their project “Vietnam Scientist Link for ULIS (VSL for U).”



In his closing remarks, Head of the Office for Quality Assurance Nguyen Ninh Bac extended his heartfelt congratulations and deep gratitude to all units, staff, teachers, and students who have accompanied the University in its quality assurance efforts over the years. Dr. Nguyen Ninh Bac emphasized: “Today’s event not only showcases dedicated and creative projects but also stands as a testament to ULIS’s culture of educational quality assurance.The Golden Star of Quality Award may mark the end of one evaluation phase, but it also opens the door to new actions and fresh initiatives. Each of us should continue to spread the spirit of responsibility, becoming small yet vital bricks that together build a ULIS home grounded in creativity and openness—where quality truly stands as the core value in every activity of the University.”

The 2025 Quality Assessment Day was not merely a summary event but also a reflection of the spirit of innovation and aspiration for growth, aiming to make the University of Languages and International Studies a model institution for quality assurance in Vietnamese higher education.
