University of Languages and International Studies Welcomes and Works with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)
On June 19th, 2025, the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University hosted a working session with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)

Representing ULIS at the meeting were Vice – Rector Hoa Ngoc Son; leaders of the Office of Research and Partnerships; and the leadership and staff of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture. On the KOICA side, attendees included Mr. Kim Sikhyon – Project Management Director – along with managers and deputy managers from the KOICA Vietnam Office

During the meeting, Mr. Kim Sikhyon provided an overview of KOICA’s World Friends Korea (WFK) Volunteer Dispatch Program, highlighting key focus areas, upcoming strategies, and the agency’s future vision. He shared: “Vietnam is one of our major partners, and KOICA is committed to making every effort to implement vital projects in this country.”

Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son highly appreciated KOICA’s Volunteer Dispatch Program for 2025, stating: “With its long-standing tradition and core values, ULIS is always ready to cooperate with KOICA to take the lead in the field of education.”

The meeting concluded with active discussion, as participants raised various questions to gain a deeper understanding of KOICA’s 2025 volunteer dispatch initiatives.
