University of Languages and International Studies worked with the delegates from Department of Education of Hong Kong

On April 27th 2017, ULIS-VNU welcomed and worked with the delegates from Department of Education of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Ngo Minh Thuy-ULIS’s vice president, Dr. Do Minh Hoang- Director of Cooperation and Development Office, Dr. Do Thi Thanh Huyen- Dean of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture (FCLC), Dr. Lai Thi Phuong Thao- Vice Principal of Foreign Languages Specialized School (FLSS).

From Hong Kong, Mr. Eddi NG Hak Kim- Director General of Department of Education of Hong Kong, Mr. Bruno LUK- Head of Economic and Trade Office of Hong Kong in Singapore and officers of Department of Education of Hong Kong and Office of Economics and Trade of Hong Kong.

In the meeting, both sides discussed the potential of cooperation in many aspects, such as student exchange, training, especially the Belt and Road Scholarship for Vietnamese students.

ULIS’s vice presidents, Ms. Ngo Minh Thuy extended her thanks to the delegates for visiting ULIS and confirmed the expectation for cooperation with the Department of Education of Hong Kong. Mr. Eddie NG Hak Kim also affirmed that he would actively help to develop the relationship between the two sides.

Next, the delegation from the Department of Education of Hong Kong visited and worked with FLSS. The representatives from both sides shared the development history of the FLSS and the education of Hong Kong and discussed future cooperation opportunities. Mr. Eddie NG Hak Kim agreed with the proposal of cooperation with FLSS in student and teacher exchange.

After that, the delegation from Hong Kong paid a visit to grade 10A and 10E. Mr. Eddie NG Hak Kim gave a plenty of interesting and meaningful shares on studying Chinese language and Hong Kong culture as well as education.
