On May 6^th, 2019, ULIS – VNU organized the opening ceremony of the Vietnamese language and culture class for students from Gumi City, South Korea in 2019.

The opening ceremony was attended by Vice President Nguyen Xuan Long; Director of the Cooperation and Development Office Do Minh Hoang; Dean and Vice deans of the Faculty of Korean Language & Culture Tran Thi Huong, La Thi Thanh Mai and Nguyen Thuy Duong, partner representatives, teachers, volunteers and especially 20 students from Gumi.

Delivering his speech at the ceremony, Vice President Nguyen Xuan Long extended his greetings to all the participants. This is the second Vietnamese language and culture course which is organized in accordance with the cooperative agreement between the ULIS, WICC KOREA and Gumi City.

Also at the opening ceremony, Mr. Lee Hye Jang – General Director of WICC KOREA Company granted 3 scholarships to 3 students of the fast-track program in Korean for their outstanding achievements in studying and training in the 2018 – 2019 academic year.
