Partnerships – Overview

Functions

  • The Office of Research and Partnerships advises and assists the Rector in managing the University’s domestic and international cooperation and development activities.

Duties

  1. To develop and implement policies, strategies, and plans for cooperation and development; to effectively leverage partnerships with educational institutions, research organizations, and other partners both domestically and internationally. To promote the University’s image and enhance its standing within the global higher education community. To compile and produce multilingual promotional materials about the University.
  2. To design and implement programs, proposals, and projects for cooperation; to expand partnerships in training, scientific research, academic exchange, and staff and student mobility; and to mobilize funding from both domestic and international partners.
  3. To coordinate with relevant units within the University to develop and implement cooperation activities with domestic partners and to contribute to community engagement.
  4. To collaborate with relevant units in handling procedures related to international cooperation.
  5. To coordinate with relevant units in managing foreign lecturers, researchers, and students working and studying at the University.
  6. To prepare content, programs, documents, and other necessary arrangements for the University’s leadership in working with international partners; to draft cooperation agreements, organize signing ceremonies, and monitor the implementation of signed agreements.
  7. To develop plans, prepare content, and complete necessary procedures for the University’s delegations visiting and working with international partners, as well as for hosting incoming international delegations.
  8. To coordinate with relevant units in implementing quality assurance and accreditation standards related to cooperation and development activities.
  9. The Head of the Office of Cooperation and Development is authorized to sign certain documents under the Rector’s delegation.
  10. To perform other duties as assigned by the Rector.

  • Certificate of Merit awarded by the President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (1999)
  • Certificate of Merit awarded by the Director of Hanoi Police Department (2011)
  • Certificate of Merit awarded by the Deputy Minister of Public Security for contributions to national security protection (2013)
  • 2016: Issuance of the Regulation on the Management of Cooperation and Development Activities at ULIS (No. 666/QĐ-ĐHNN, dated January 25, 2016)
  • 2016–2017: Organization of the Cooperation and Development Conference
  • 2018: Issuance of guidelines on organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, and professional training (No. 800/HD-ĐHNN, dated August 15, 2018); guidelines on the management and support of international students at ULIS (No. 801/HD-ĐHNN, dated August 15, 2018); and guidelines on the reception, management, and support of foreign experts (No. 802/HD-ĐHNN, dated August 15, 2018)
