Opening ceremony of the 2018 double-major program in in-service English majoring for staff and teachers at the People’s Police Academy

On July 31st, 2018, the People’s Police Academy in association with the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS – VNU), held the opening ceremony of the 2018 double-major program in in-service English majoring for 75 staff and teachers of the academy.

At the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Long, ULIS’s Vice President, extended his congratulations to 75 students admitted to the double-major English program at the academy. He affirmed that the Management Board of ULIS-VNU always paid a close attention to maintaining and developing the joint relationship between the two institutions as well as to the organization of this course. In order to assure the course quality, Vice President Long requested functional divisions of ULIS-VNU, to assign experienced lecturers to use appropriate and specific teaching methods for the students of the academy.

Addressing at the ceremony, Major General, Associate Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Deputy Director of the People’s Police Academy emphasized that in recent years, ULIS-VNU and the National People’s Police Academy had had many effective cooperative activities in the fields of education and training, especially in joint training courses to foster the proficiency of foreign languages ​​for staff, lecturers and students of the academy, supporting for the development of foreign language teaching and learning environment.

The Vice Director requested the lecturers participating in this course should actively train and improve their skills and at the same time share their views with ULIS’s teachers, acquire knowledge to serve their work at the academy. He also suggested class leaders set good examples for others to successfully maintain the class organization basis, contributing to the implementation of the policy of improving the quality of teaching and learning foreign languages ​​issued by the academy’s institutional Party and Board of Directors.
