On April 21^st, 2023, Ms. Oh Young Ju – the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam visited and lectured at ULIS-VNU.

Delivering his speech at the meeting, President Do Tuan Minh extended his sincere thanks to Ambassador Oh Young Ju for visiting and working at the school and hoped that the Ambassador in particular and the South Korean Embassy in general would continue to support ULIS in future activities.

In response, Ambassador Oh Young Ju expressed her honor to visit and exchange at ULIS – a prestigious university with a long history of foreign language training that has contributed significantly to promoting Korea-Vietnam relations. The Ambassador also expressed her desire to cooperate closely with the University.

After working with the leaders of the University, Ambassador Oh Young Ju gave a lecture on the topic of cooperation between Vietnam and Republic of Korea to many Korean language teachers and students at ULIS. She then introduced the history, achievements and vision of the relationship between the two countries from 900 years ago and officially since 1992 with the determination to comprehensively and closely develop together and create mutual benefits.  At the same time, the Republic of Korea’s development strategy in general and foreign policies were also shared.

Many questions from students were answered by the Ambassador. She emphasized that the future of the cooperation relationship between the two countries depends greatly on today’s students, so the young generations of the two countries need to be proactive to enhance their mutual understanding.
