On June 15th, 2022, ULIS – VNU held a briefing on tasks of the second quarter in 2022. Dr. Do Tuan Minh, ULIS President chaired the briefing. The briefing was also attended by Chairman of the Trade Union, Secretary of the Youth Union, representatives of departments of the University.

At the briefing, Director of the Personnel Organization Office Duong Quynh Hoa, read the decision to appoint Mr. Khoa Anh Viet the position of Deputy Director of Politics & Students Affairs Office.

At the meeting, the President presented special awards to outstanding individuals and collectives including students of the University in the past quarter.

President Do Tuan Minh awarded the certificate of AUN-QA standard in Russian language to the representative of the Faculty of Russian Language and Culture.

Delivering his speech at the briefing, President Do Tuan Minh highly appreciated the efforts of all the departments in completing their tasks in the second quarter of 2022 with outstanding achievements.

Reports on the performance in the second quarter of 2022 and the plan for the third quarter of 2022 and reports on the implementation of working and training regulations were delivered at the briefing.

Prominent results in the second quarter of 2022:

• Promoted communication tasks to attract high-quality learners for all levels of education;
• Successfully organized the annual National conference UNC 2022 “Research on teaching foreign languages, linguistics and international studies in Vietnam”;
• Completed the draft report on self-assessment of quality accreditation of undergraduate training programs (French language, Chinese language, Japanese language, Korean language) and FLSS; conducted outside assessment of the quality accreditation of ULIS, VNU in the period of 2021-2026;
• Completed the procedures for renovating and upgrading the infrastructure and IT infrastructure for training and scientific research.

Crucial tasks in the third quarter of 2022:

• Organize undergraduate and graduate enrollment (2nd phase) in 2022 to ensure sufficient quantity and good quality;
• Complete the dossier and submit it to VNU for approval of the project on opening a training major “Transnational Culture and Communication”;
• Complete the school’s quality accreditation (period 2021 – 2026), completing the Self-Assessment reports of FLSS, Korean Language, Chinese Language, French Language and Japanese Language;
• Develop plans and implement science and technology activities under the framework of UNC 2023 in localities;
• Complete the renovation of floors 4-8 of block A2, review teaching and learing equipment for the school year 2022-2023.
