On September 14th, 2022, ULIS – VNU held a briefing on tasks of the third quarter in 2022. Dr. Do Tuan Minh, ULIS President chaired the briefing. The briefing was also attended by Chairman of the Trade Union, Secretary of the Youth Union, representatives of departments of the University.

At the briefing, Director of the Personnel Organization Office Duong Quynh Hoa, read the decisions to appoint Dr. Dam Minh Thuy the position of Dean of the Faculty of French Language & Culture, Dr. Phung Ha Thanh the position of Vice Dean of the Faculty of Linguistics and Culture of English-Speaking Countries, Dr. Ta Nhat Anh the posotion of Deputy Head of the Department of Educational Psychology. Ms. Duong Quynh Hoa also read the decisions to reappoint Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam the position of Dean of the Faculty of Linguistics and Culture of English-Speaking Countries, Dr. Nguyen Ninh Bac the position of Director of the Center for Quality Assurance.  

At the meeting, the President presented special awards to outstanding individuals and collectives including students of the University in the past quarter.

Delivering his speech at the briefing, President Do Tuan Minh highly appreciated the efforts of all the departments in completing their tasks in the third quarter of 2022 with outstanding achievements.

Reports on the performance in the third quarter of 2022 and the plan for the fourth quarter of 2022 and reports on the implementation of working and training regulations were delivered at the briefing.

Prominent results in the third quarter of 2022:

• Organized undergraduate and graduate enrollment (2nd phase) in 2022 to ensure sufficient quantity and good quality;
• Completed the dossier and submit it to VNU for approval of the project on opening a training major “Transnational Culture and Communication”;
• Completed the school’s quality accreditation (period 2021 – 2026), completing the Self-Assessment reports of FLSS, Korean Language, Chinese Language, French Language and Japanese Language;
• Developed plans to implement science and technology activities under the framework of UNC 2023 in localities;
• Completed the renovation of floors 4-8 of block A2, reviewed teaching and learning equipment for the school year 2022-2023.

Crucial tasks in the fourth quarter of 2022:

• Organize IGRS2022 and UNC2023 workshops
• Solemnly celebrate Vietnam Teachers’ Day
• Organize activities for freshmen.
