On May 14^th, 2022, ULIS-VNU held a program to celebrate the 10^th anniversary of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, 28^th year of teaching Korean at ULIS – VNU, and the 30^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, Mr. Won Kwang Seok, Director of the Representative Office of the Overseas Korean Education Department in Vietnam congratulated and thanked ULIS for their great contributions to the development of the Korean language in Vietnam as well as the promotion of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Delivering his speech at the ceremony, President Do Tuan Minh affirmed that ULIS in general and the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture in particular have been making positive contributions to the fostering of Vietnam-Korea diplomatic relations as well as the development of training in and research on Korean language and culture in Vietnam.

Also at the ceremony, ULIS awarded Certificates of Merit to the Faculty for its contributions and achievements in the period 2012-2022. The Alumni Association of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture awarded 5 scholarships of VND3 million each to 5 students with excellent achievements.

Furthermore, within the framework of the program, many other interesting activities took place such as Korean traditional culture and cuisine, The Face of K-ULIS contest, Celebration of Korean Teachers’ Day, farewell to K52 students, etc.
