International Conference APC-TCIL 13: “Innovation of philosophy, direction and methods of international Chinese teaching”

On October 15th, 2022, ULIS-VNU in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific International Chinese Language Teaching Association organized an international conference in Teaching Chinese under the topic “Innovation in philosophy, direction and methods of international Chinese teaching” (APC-TCIL 13).

APC-TCIL is the annual conference of Asia-Pacific International Chinese Language Teaching Association. This conference was organized to enhance exchanges and share experiences in Chinese language teaching, especially experiences in overcoming difficulties during and after the pandemic, improving teaching capacity, and promoting international Chinese language teaching.

The conference attracted the attention of many scientists from countries and regions such as Vietnam, China, Japan, Korea, Australia, France, USA, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, etc.

Delivering his speech at the conference, Vice President Lam Quang Dong said that the theme of the conference had caught the right flow of social needs. The APC-TCIL 13 received 297 abstracts and 85 full-text scientific papers for inclusion in the more than 760-page proceedings.

At the conference, the Chinese Language Teaching and Research Association under the Vietnam Linguistics Association was also officially launched. The branch was established with the desire to develop and connect Chinese language training and research in Vietnam.

Taking place in a blended form of a combination of face-to-face and online, 3 presentations were presented at the plenary session, especially with the attendance and papers at the plenary session of 2 professors representing the American Association of Chinese Teachers and the European Association of Chinese Teachers. Also at 16 parallel subcommittees, 128 papers were presented.

The international conference ended successfully.
