Mr. Antonio Alessandro, the Italian Ambassador to Vietnam visited and attended the first Italian lesson at Foreign Language Specialized School (FLSS)

On September 18th, 2019, FLSS-ULIS was honored to welcome Mr. Antonion Alessandro, the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Vietnam to visit the school and attend the first Italian lesson here.

Under ULIS policy of developing new foreign languages, from the 2019-2020 academic year, FLSS begins to teach Italian as a second foreign language. The first class was registered by 19 students and taught by teachers from the Embassy of Italy in Vietnam.

At the first lesson, the students learned Italian through simple vocabulary and conversations. Ms. Maria Benimeo – Cultural and Educational Counselor of the Italian Embassy directly taught Italian to the students and inspired them to learn the language.

Attending the Italian class, Ambassador Antonion Alessandro exchanged with and talked to the students. Witnessing their enthusiasm and desire to learn Italian, the Ambassador felt very happy and hoped that this very first class would contribute to making Italian more popular in Vietnam.

In addition to studying English, Vi Yen still wanted to explore Italian and the country itself so she chose this language as her second foreign Language to study at school.
