Meeting with staff and students of Shizuoka University, Japan
On September 9th, 2019, ULIS-VNU held a meeting with the delegation of Shizuoka University (Japan, including 3 staff members and 5 students.
The meeting was attended by Vice President Ngo Minh Thuy, Dean of the Faculty of Japanese Language & Culture Dao Thi Nga My, Vice Dean of the faculty Tran Thi Minh Phuong, Vice Principal of UMS Nguyen Huyen Trang, students of the Faculty and FLSS. From the side of Shizuoka University, professor Yoichi Hiruma and professor Fujimaki Harry Yoshihiro attended the ceremony.
ULIS and Shizuoka University have had many cooperative activities since signing in 2014 such as opening representative office of Shizuoka University at ULIS, granting scholarships to ULIS students and FLSS students to study in Japan, exchanging lecturers and trainees, inviting ULIS staff to participate in scientific conferences. Every year, Shizuoka University also welcomes many ULIS staff members to visit and work at the University.
Delivering her speech at the meeting, Vice President Ngo Minh Thuy extended her greetings to Shizuoka University’s teachers and students and affirmed that such exchange activities were very necessary for staff and students of the 2 institutions to understand more about each other, thereby facilitating the cooperation between the two sides.
At the meeting, representatives of the two schools shared information about their school, training and recruitment activities.
In particular, representatives of Shizuoka University introduced the Asian Bridge Program to ULIS students.
After that, students of the two schools had the opportunity to learn and interact with each other through presentations, Q&A session.
