Office of Division of Southeast Asian Language and Culture handed over

On March 5th, 2019, ULIS-VNU held the ceremony to hand over the office of the Division of Southeast Asia Language and Culture (Room 401, A1 Block) and discussed the key tasks in 2019 of the Division.

Attending the ceremony were President Do Tuan Minh; Chairman of the Advisory Council for Cooperation and Development Nguyen Lan Trung; Representatives of departments.

The Division of Southeast Asian Language and Culture was established on January 24th, 2019, with the function of teaching languages of Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand and Laos as second foreign language for students of the University. So far, the Division has 2 Thai lecturers and 2 Lao lecturers.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Do Tuan Minh sent encouragement and asked the Division to soon implement activities to promote its own image, thereby demonstrating its significant role and contributing to the general development of the University.

Representing the Division, MA. Nguyen Thi Van Chi expressed her determination to work alongside with the teachers in the Division to make every effort to thrive the Division.

At the end of the meeting, President Do Tuan Minh directed other departments to create maximum conditions to help the Division to develop. He also gave out the tasks that the Division should implement immediately.
