On March 19th, 2017, the opening ceremony of the representative office of Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages (Chinese Taipei) took place at ULIS-VNU.

The event was attended by Dr. Do Tuan Minh-President of ULIS, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Lan Trung- President of Cooperation and Development Council, Dr. Do Minh Hoang- Director of Cooperation and Development Office, Dr. Hoa Ngoc Son- Vice Dean of Faculty of Language Education and Professional Development, Dr. Do Minh Tien- Dean of Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture.

From Chinese Taipei, there were Mr. Chen Weiyin and Mr. Gu Changyong – Vice Rectors of Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, Ms. Yang Xingyun – Head of Office of International Cooperation, Mr. Xu Qiongying and Ms. Li Huainan – Director and Vice-director of Education Center of Chinese Taipei.

Notably, Mr. Li Ming – Educational and Cultural Counselor of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Vietnam and Mr. Shi Shiji – Chief representative of TECO in Vietnam attended this special ceremony.

University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS) – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages have had cooperation relations for a long time. President Minh appreciated the friendship between two universities. He also expressed that Room 601 at A1 Building is regarded as the love which ULIS would like to extend to Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages and did hope that there would be so many exciting cooperation activities which two universities would organize in the future.

After that, the representatives of two universities have pulled the fabric lane to open the board and handed over the key, to officially open the representative office of Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages at ULIS. This representative office is in the framework of an agreement that was previously signed between two universities. The main mission of this office is to promote the professional skills in bilateral cooperation between the universities, especially the Chinese training program.
