ULIS Launches Three Advanced Language Training Courses for Leaders and Officers of the Investigation Security Agency

On May 20th, 2026, the Investigation Security Agency (under the Ministry of Public Security), in collaboration with the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS – VNU), organized the Opening Ceremony of the advanced language training courses for the agency’s leaders and officers.

The program was launched to implement Master Plan No. 07/DA-BCA, dated April 22nd, 2025, issued by the Ministry of Public Security on modernizing the nationwide Investigation Security force. This initiative aims to enhance the linguistic proficiency of leaders and officers, thereby meeting operational requirements in the context of international integration and digital transformation.

The opening ceremony was attended by leadership representatives and officials from both organizations, alongside the program’s lecturers and trainees.

Speaking at the ceremony, ULIS Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son emphasized that enhancing language proficiency for the leadership and personnel of the Investigation Security Agency not only supports professional duties effectively but also addresses the requirements of global integration, enabling access to new knowledge and technologies.

The Vice President reaffirmed that ULIS – VNU is always ready to accompany the People’s Public Security forces in specialized language training, leveraging the university’s strengths to design programs tailored to practical needs and professional characteristics. He also expressed his expectation that the trainees would demonstrate a serious and proactive learning spirit to achieve the best possible outcomes throughout the course.

According to the plan, this phase consists of 03 classes, including 02 English classes with 38 trainees and 01 Chinese classes with 24 trainees. The sessions are scheduled during evening hours to allow officers to comfortably participate without disrupting their specialized daily duties. The entire course spans 40 sessions, focusing on foundational language and practical communication, which serves as a stepping stone for advanced, specialized courses in Law and Investigation terminology, as well as future preparation for standardized language proficiency certificates.

In addition to a structured curriculum, the program utilizes fully copyrighted textbooks and workbooks tailored for practical training, available in both print and digital formats to offer maximum support for the trainees’ learning process.

The teaching responsibilities are undertaken by a team of 06 experienced lecturers from the Faculty of English Language and Culture and the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture at ULIS. With solid professional expertise, high enthusiasm, and rich teaching experience, the lecturers are set to provide an effective, modern learning environment well-suited to the operational nature of the Investigation Security force.

The collaborative organization of these language training courses not only helps improve the human resource quality of the People’s Public Security forces but also reaffirms the role and strength of ULIS – VNU in specialized language training to serve the nation’s high-profile sectors.
