On October 9^th, 2023, ULIS-VNU held a meeting with Russian author – writer Evgeny Vodolazkin and translator Phan Xuan Loan, who share about the novel “Pilot” with ULIS students.

At the meeting, participants listened to the author of “Pilot” – one of Russia’s best-selling books, sharing about its content, and historical and philosophical themes integrated in the masterpiece. The experience during the process of translating the novel into Vietnamese was also revealed by translator Phan Xuan Loan.

The meeting left many good impressions in the hearts of lecturers and students of the Faculty of Russian Language and Culture, helping students to better understand the Russian culture, people and the country herself, strengthen the love for Russian language and Russian literature, and arouse passion for translation among students.
