Delivering his speech at the seminar, Dr. Do Tuan Minh – Chairman of ULIS Council said that the seminar was one of the scientific activities specializing in Korean language education in high schools in Vietnam, a field in which the lecturers of the Faculty of Korean Language & Culture had been playing a key role with regard to program and textbook development, teacher training, and testing and assessment.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Gil Ho Jin – Director of the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City commented that currently, Korean teachers and lecturers teaching Korean in Vietnam still faced many difficulties in curriculum development and teaching methods. “The seminar and the success of publishing the “Korean Textbook” series is a step forward to support the Korean teaching in Vietnam, marking an important milestone in the Korean language development journey in Vietnam.”, added he.

During the seminar, many presentations on related issues were presented and attracted great attention.

A discussion was also held with numerous perspectives and suggestions raised from the audience.

At the end of the seminar, the participants listened to the representative of Vietnam Education Publishing House introducing the Korean language textbooks 1 and 2 authored by a good number of ULIS lecturers.
