Vietnamese and Vietnamese Culture Students Join Cultural Immersion Program with International Students
On July 6, 2026, the Faculty of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Languages and Cultures, VNU University of Languages and International Studies (VNU-ULIS) organized a cultural immersion trip to Tri Lễ Hat Village and Quảng Phú Cầu Incense Village. The program brought together students majoring in Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Culture, a delegation from National Chengchi University, and international students studying at the Faculty.

At Tri Lễ Hat Village, participants explored local cultural and historical sites, learned about the symbolism of traditional Vietnamese architecture and beliefs, and experienced the process of making the iconic Vietnamese conical hat. Guided by local artisans, both Vietnamese and international students created and decorated their own hats, gaining first-hand insight into Vietnam’s traditional craftsmanship.
The group visited Quảng Phú Cầu Incense Village, where they observed the incense-making process and learned how local artisans preserve and develop this long-standing craft. Throughout the trip, lecturers and students from the Faculty actively introduced Vietnamese culture and facilitated exchanges with international participants, creating an engaging cross-cultural learning environment.

The field trip provided students with valuable opportunities to deepen their understanding of Vietnam’s cultural heritage while promoting international exchange and showcasing Vietnamese traditional values to friends from around the world.
