On December 18^th, 2021, ULIS-VNU held an international scientific conference under the theme “Teaching Arabic in the new era” on the occasion of the International Arabic Day on December 18^th and 25 years of Arabic teaching in Vietnam.

The conference aims at creating an opportunity for Vietnamese and Arab scholars to present their research on the Arabic language and the applicability of language research in the interdisciplinary field of linguistics and language teaching in the current context.

Delivering his speech at the conference, President Do Tuan Minh said that the University has made significant contributions to training high-quality human resources in the Arabic language teaching during the past 25 years.

At the plenary session, 3 presentations were delivered by international delegates.

In parallel sessions, 8 papers were presented, international lecturers and experts of the Department shared theoretical and methodological issues in Arabic language teaching. The exchanges and questions in the discussion also brought a lot of useful information to the participants.
