Cooperation agreement with the Department of International Relations and Francophonie of the State of Quebec (Canada) signed
On January 13th, 2020, ULIS – VNU held a signing ceremony of cooperation agreement with the Department of International Relations and Francophonie of State of Quebec (Canada) on the establishment of Québec Space at ULIS.
The ceremony was attended by President Do Tuan Minh, Director of the Cooperation & Development Office Do Minh Hoang, Management Board of the Faculty French Language & Culture. On the side of the Ministry of International Relations and Francophone State of Quebec (Canada), Mr. Mathieu Parenteau – Chief Representative of MRIF in India, Central, South and Southeast Asia attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, representatives of the two sides signed an official memorandum of understanding (MOU), agreeing to open an office to provide information and introduction to the State of Québec called Espace Québec – Québec space on the ULIS campus. Vietnam Cultural Center of Canada in Montréal (CCV) is in charge of coordinating and organizing activities and events in this space. The Memorandum is valid for 2 years and has an automatic renewal clause.
Delivering his speech at the ceremony, President Do Tuan Minh affirmed that the University welcomed ideas for developing the French language at ULIS. Therefore, the opening of Espace Québec received full support from the University.
The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the Department of International Relations and Francophonie of the State of Quebec (Canada) and ULIS-VNU has opened up new opportunities to access the French language and the country of Canada for ULIS students.
